Python SQLite CRUD Operations

In this Python SQLite article we want to learn Python SQLite CRUD Operations, Python is powerful programming language that can be used for different types of applications and SQLite is lightweight database system that can be easily integrated with Python. in this article we want to talk that how to perform CRUD operations with Python SQLite.

What are CRUD Operations ?

CRUD is an acronym for Create, Read, Update and Delete. these four operations are the basic building blocks of any database system. in SQLite we can perform CRUD operations using SQL statements. Python provides us with a simple way to execute these SQL statements.

The first step in performing CRUD operations is to create a table in the database. in SQLite we can use CREATE TABLE statement to create a table, this code creates a table called customers with four columns, id, name, email and age. in here id column is the primary key.

If you run the code you will see a database with table, but for right now we don’t have any data in the table.

Now that we have a table, we can insert data into it using INSERT statement. we are adding two data in our table.

Run the code and this will be the result

For reading data from a table, we can use the SELECT statement, this code selects all the data from the customers table and prints it to the console.

This will be the result

For updating data in a table, we can use UPDATE statement.

This will be the updated result
